I have 185 indian head pennies ranging from 1880-1912 does anyone have any idea how much these would go for as a set/collection.
I also have many other coins that are from many countries around the world that range from 1800's to present day.
I also have (3) 500,000 Besyuz bin turk lirasi (2) 25,000 turk lirasi and (1) 20,000 turk lirasi. these are old turkish currencies that have no value as to the USD but have value as collectors items.

If anyone interested in any coins please feel free to contact me through email.
    Thank you

You might want to recheck those dates. 1909 was the last year Indian Head Cents were struck.

Condition is key. Dates and mintmarks are also important. Without knowing the condition of the coins and the dates / mintmarks we cannot begin to determine their value. If the coins are all culls they may be worth several cents each. If they are common coins in average circulated condition they may be worth 50 cents to a few dollars each (depending on date).

    Hope that helps.

Your best bet it taking some pics and posting here as for me coin dealers arent the best experience since last week one sold me a over priced cleaned coin; either the dealer is trustworthy or not. He might try and low ball you or be honest.

Like i said i would either check the price on the internet, books, or post pics here.

you can't really blame the coin dealer, you were just as much at fault for buying it. i am not bashing you are putting you down. i just don't think its right to think a dealer is bad because he may of "missed" something. i seen your thread and the coin does look nice though!

you're best bet would be to take pictures of your coins. if you don't want to do that, make a list of years that you have. there are only two of the Indian heads that are worth a decent amount(unless you have some that are uncirculated). if you do have some that look to be new, post pictures of those. other then that, look for the years 1908 and 1909. then look at the back of the coin. if you see an "S" at the bottom of the coin underneath the wreathe(it would be just to the right of the bow) post pictures of that coin(s).

you could take them to a coin dealer, but they have to eat and don't run a charity, so they will offer you a price that they can make money off them as well. if they are all common you can roll them and put them on ebay or even here after you get some more posts. i see rolls of 50 on ebay for $100. not sure if people are paying that though. i honestly would of guessed they are worth $50. just look at auctions and see what they are going for.
