I went to the bank and pulled out my Miscellaneous Box and discovered I had forgotten about three higher grade Indians to go with this one. I was going to post them all at the same time, but the batteries need charging.

This is the first two attempts at the 1866. The first approaches the overall color better, but the second shows the detail far better. Someday I'll learn how to get both. I broke out the axial setup that I swore off of after much frustration a couple of weeks ago.

I just realized it's also rotated about 15 degrees.

There is something going on with this cent, but I can't really tell what. Strikethrough, planchet flaw, multiple strike, clash, PMD or maybe a combination. I honestly didn't see anything till I had brought it home.
