Any body found anything intresting in there back garden coins etc?. Ive actually orded the scanmaster silver ID detector and when i get it im off to practice in the soil in my backgarden i hope to find a drain pipe or something and dig that up lol j/k. But for a test im going to ask my mate to hide some coins in the soil and see if i can find them. Then when it gets warmer im off to the seaside to search at the beach. I hope it comes soon i orded it last night.
Hello Not in the back garden but on a footpath, I eventually found a Guenar minted for Charles VI who ruled France from 1380 to 1422 AD. Worn, but nice find... Cucumbor
Back when I was 14 I lived in upstate NY. My mother had a garden and had just turned dirt over the bean row she was planting when I saw this dark green thing get covered. Well digging it up got me in trouble but it turned out to be an 1864 Indian Head penny. Outside the green color of it, it was in great shape, hardly any scratches and hardly any wear. This was in 1975 and being from a low income family I thought I had found a million dollars. When I took the coin to an antique shop to inquire about it, the man there say he could sell me all I wanted for two dollars a piece. So I did the only thing I could think of and gave it to a friend of the family who collected coins. I constantly think about that coin today. Today I'm over fourty and an avid coin collector, but I have yet to "find" any treasures such as that coin. Good luck to you. You never can tell.
I found in my yard 1 silver quarter, about $2 in clad and about 10 wheats. I also found a lead army toy.
