There are a few die chips on this 1976 Lincoln cent, but take a look at the word TRUST. It makes it look like IN GOD WE TRUSCT.
I'd be more inclined to say die chips. Some might see a dropped letter, but there are no Cs on the obverse of the cent.
Have you ever searched wheaties from the early 50's? I have found quite a few while searching wheat rolls. They are always in the same spot where there is a recessed area like around the date.
