Imitation Half Penny George III but with date 1730?

    Ok, so I have seen a million non regal half penny's.

    What I had not seen until today is a 1730 date on a George III half penny. Of course, George II was King in 1730. George III did not come along for like another 30 years or so.

    Yes, it is heavily worn. Yes, the date is a bit of a challenge to read, and yes, I need a better camera. Still in hand and with a loop, I assure you it says 1730. IMG_2571.JPG IMG_2569.JPG

    Anyone ever see anything like this?

    @Kentucky Thank you for checking that for me. I had completely forgotten about those odd subtypes that dont really say George III REX.
