I'm seeing a doubled die on this 2012 cent.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I've done racked my brain around this cent. I've looked at it for so long, I'm going cross eyed. However, I do believe I spotted doubling on this cent, in a few areas at that, both obverse on reverse. First, the N on the reverse clearly looks doubled. You can see where the top of it and the side of it meets the runs down. Second, you can also see doubling on the second N on the reverse. When you get to the obverse, you can see doubling on the R in Liberty, part of the T and Y. Thirdly, you can see doubling around the earlobe and chin. Fourth, you can see doubling on the G in "In God We Trust" it's right below the tip of the G. You can also make out doubling in the O and D. I have seen and know what MD looks like, these appear to be raised.

That is an excellent example of "die deterioration doubling" and NOT a doubled die.

How do you tell the difference between DDD and MD?

Thank you. The thing that was was getting me, was the "G". This whole penny looks like a DDD. I'll hang on to it, even though it's not worth anything. Just cool to look at.
