I'm fairly confident I have a new variety of a 1833 capped bust half

    Hi Everyone,
I have a 1833 capped bust half, which I believe is an unlisted variety. I have included close up photos of my coin along side each overton number (1-15), and I will include a brief explanation of why I think each one should be ruled out. I was wondering what you guys all think? I will make a new post for each overton variety starting with 0-101. The photos on the left side all come from Don Parsley's 4th edition book.

Below is a link which will hopefully generate a album of all the photos:

You need to click on the photos to enlarge, and then click again.

I will be removing the photos from the below posts, but you can still read the explanation of differences if you cannot discern them from the photos.

Here is a close up of the 5 on the overton 101, as well as a close up of the 5 on my coin. Note the difference in shape. Also, the 5 is higher in the 0-101.

Here is an overton 102 next to my coin. Notice the alignment of the T over the I and the S over the S.

Overton 106. Note the difference in the shape of the top of the 5. There is also a die line on the O-106 which is not present on the coin I have.

I looked over the coin extensively, and I feel quite conclusively that the die pairings do not match any listed in Don Parsley's book. I'd appreciate any input in the matter. Hopefully I am not completely off base here.

I have not studied this series, and could not attempt to draw any conclusions, other than that I do clearly see all the differences you illustrate above. I hope you are successful!

Congratulations, and we can only hope.
Not for the hard part-- getting Parsley to listen.
    Good Luck.
