Is it true that some coins are illegal to own??? If so, which ones?

Yes it is true. A couple examples are the 1964 peace dollar, the 1974 and 75 aluminum cents, the 1933 double eagle unless it is the "Farouk"/Fenton coin, the 1974 copper clad steel cents, and technically most all the post 1896 pattern coins but the government as for the most part ignored the pattern coins except for the 1974 cents mentioned and sometimes the 1942 pattern cents. Oh and most of the 2000 dollar/quarter mules. Th government decided they were illegally removed and are government property but they have not made any attempt to recover them from the man who owns them.
