So a few years ago when Ike’s were a hot item I found some super nice 1976 ones that I thought had a chance of being graded 68’s. I sent them into NGC and got skunked. I felt that they didn’t really look at them and didn’t give them the love they deserved. I recently sent cracked them and sent them to pcgs for fun just to see if my suspicions were valid. The coins came back and I was surprised by the results. I sent one to CAC as I was recently accepted as a collector with a ngc Ike that I felt was equally as nice as the pcgs coin. I am feeling like ngc hates Ike and cac is not so accepting of ngc. I’ve only sent maybe 40 coins to cac but most I see on the internet are pcgs coins. This was a fun learning experience for me. I feel it’s hard to pick out high grade Ike’s and it’s frustrating when you see subpar coins in holders with the same grade as the ones you own. Just shows that grade is an opinion.
