I am putting a collection of coins of the 20th century and I would like to include a couple of IKE's. Question is which IKE's carry a premium to collectors?

Whether it be MS or PR, if you had to inventory the top IKE's, which "keys" would you want?

Thanks...my knowledge of IKE's is pretty much limited to what I read in the Red Book so any additional information you can offer would be helpful.

There are no regular issue or proof "key date" Ikes. There are several varieties which are scarce or rare but the "regular" coins are generally common. This is not to say that there are mountains of all these, there aren't. Some were made only for mint or proof sets and some were not heavily saved in unc. This set has several keys though, even in a nice attractive condition. Gems can be excrutiatingly tough for some coins like the '73-P, '73-D, &'75 tI. None of the mint state Ikes is common in gem. One of my favorites is the '72-D (variety) 2. This coin had only about 100,000 minted and many were used in casinos. Any nice looking circulated example is hard to find and the coin is not common in unc. Higher grade uncs are quite rare.

If you really like Ike's, there is a guy on ebay selling 175,000 of them in one shot.
