going to be hard to complete my Australia penny collection.. lol still waiting on my 1921 Canada nickle too..lol
That coin is worth maybe $10,000 at most. Too much wear on the crown. He asking for the UNC price. For anyone who would pay that price, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them.
Hey! What about New Zealand? Poor chaps. All they got is the 1956 Penny w/out the strap at $1,100 and it must be BU. I say it should be more!
I have a full set of Canada, Also have alot of Australia and a few Ireland. I love the look of those ones. The red just pops
I've seen some brown ones that have soft even tone to them. Those are nice too. I had a 1943 Australian 1/2d that had that soft buttery chocolate creamy decadent tone to it. It looked like a candy coin. I shouldn't have sold it.
All these coins you're discussing are things I collect. I like big British empire coins and the design of the Australian, New Zealand and Irish coins in general. New Zealand coins are expensive and always exceed their price guide value on eBay (except when I'm selling them, in which case they get one bid for a dollar). Even without going after those super rare coins, it can be hard to get a set because a lot of them don't come up for sale that often. And for NZ, even a lot of the modern coins have very low mintages.
Well then Sir, share some pics! I'd like to keep this discussion going. These types are some of my favorites to collect.
