Wow, only $20K? Tom has other temptations that would set me back an awful lot more than $20K, like the 1861-O $20 that I really really need more than a boat or jet ski.

Franklin is missing his cranium. I could not see laying down $20,000 when Ben is missing his best part.

Description isn't quite right. This is a cent planchet struck between a Franklin half obv anvil die, and an early to mid stage capped reverse die in the hammer position. The capped die has already struck several coins and has already spread out some. Notice the incused Franklin bust is noticaebly larger than the raised bust. If the cent planchet had been fed in on top of a just struck half and was then struck between the half and the obv die both busts would be the same size.

So this is a Franklin on cent, capped die strike. Not what I would call a Brockage strike.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

If they'd come down to $17,500, I'd jump on it!

Even at $17,500, Ben is still missing half his cranium.
