Based on those pictures, my guess is that it's a round copper/bronze/corroded zinc or other dark metal coin/medal/token or button.

Would hazard a guess and say it was Indian cant realy tell more from the pic but I do have a few that look similar. Hope this is a help

Definitely a copper Indian dump coin. Need bigger pics, both sides.
