There are six coins that I picked up at the Chicago International Coin Fair that I can't ID. I'm hoping you all can help me out. One of these has the Arabic year 1299. I have a coin like this somewhere, and I thought it was from Zanzibar, but Krause doesn't have a listing for Zanzibar. The next is from an Arabic country. I have the date as 1981 and the denomination 25, but I don't know what country. The third is from 2003. I know I have seen something like this before but I can't place it. Somewhere around Russia I think.
The first one here is 1790 from France. It's the size of a U.S. half dollar and I'm just wondering the denomination. The second and third are tokens or medals. The second says "Field Marshal Wellington half penny token." I'm just looking for more info. Can anyone tell me the year? The last one doesn't seem to be money. It relates to the German royal family and features Kaiser Wilhelm I, Friedrich III and Wilhelm II. Any ideas on this?
# 4. France. One liard, 1/2 sou or one sou (they has an identical design, but different size. Please look at mine: the first one is one liard, the second one is one sou.
Thanks for the info. Does anyone else know more about the tokens? What is the Zanzibar coin listed under in Krause?
