Hi just need some help with a couple of silver coins.

Coin No 1: Spanish coin I think, 100 PTAS 3.5cm diam. 2mm thick.
On one side its got what I think is a coat of arms that has
4 parts to it, theres a dragon,a castle, four vertical lines
and rectangle symbol with lines though it like an asterix.
Outside of the coat of arms is a crown which is in
between 100 and PTAS, there are also some other
symbols and little crosses floating around.

On the other side is the head of a bald bloke, the
writing says FRANCISCO FRANCO CAUDILLO DE ESPANA
POR LA G. DE DIOS *1966*

On the edge of the coin is written *GRANDE* *LIBRE*
*UNA* The coin is in excellent condition.

Coin No 2: Greek coin, 30 Dr, its also 3.5cm dia and 2mm thick.
The writing on it is in greek. On one side it has a map
of Greece there are ripples where the water is and the land
part potrudes out, there is a ship with sails and oars in the
water and also two dolphins on either side of where it says
30 dr (dr is actually a triangle and a P) Parts of the map
are labelled ie KPHTH (crete) and thesali and some others.
The writing around the map says BASILEION THS ELLADOS
Ive written it in english, just replace the S with sigma, the
L with Lamda and the D with Delta.
On the other side there are five heads, a cross and a crown
For every head there is a name and a year, I take it they are
past Kings of Greece. On top of the crown is 1863-1963.
There is writting right around the edge of the coin. This
coin is als in excellent condition.

I hope I have given you guys enough information on the coins and hope you can help. I'd like to know what they are exactly and what they would be worth.

    Thanks Harry

Coin #1 is a 100 pesetas - from Spain as you suspected. To tell the date is a bit trickier as it may or may not be 1966. On either side of the date you will see a small star. Inside each star is a very small number. These two numbers tell the true date of the coin. In this case it will be either, '66 - '67 - '68 - '69 or '70.

Values for them all, except for '69 range from $3 in XF to $7 in BU. The '69 is the rarest of them and it's value from $150 in XF to $350 in BU. Note - the '69 is often found counterfeited so authentication is necessary.

Coin #2 is a Greek 30 Drachmai minted in 1963. It commemorates the centennial of the Royal Greek Dynasty. Value is $6.50 in XF and $10.00 in UNC.
