Does anyone (maybe @Insider ) know what the "laminated" designation means on this war nickel? When I think of laminations, I think of a piece of metal being peeled off (delamination) but I'm not seeing anything clear on this coin. Am I just missing it?
Look just behind the bow in his hair, slightly to the left of the date. It is incredibly minor, and I'd hardly care to even mention it, but that's where it is. This one is more technically called a "retained lamination" as the piece of metal has not actually been removed, just flaked.
. I'm not buying what your selling . I like Errors not all Varieties though . Some are just not appealing , Sorry .
I am responding just to see if anyone finds the lamination. I am seeing a slight line running from Jeffs forehead to the ST. All I see near the ribbon in some odd looking luster and MD on the back of the head. Could be the place of the lamination
