I sent some coins in to ICG last month based on positive feedback on this forum. Overall, it was a good experience. Not that I expected differently. But I figured I would share. The coins were received on June 10, and I did miss the first communications because they had the wrong email address for me. Probably my fault from how I scribbled it on the form. But I emailed them and they corrected it and I received the email with the grades and saying the coins were shipped back to me on June 28. So incredible turnaround time. After USPS sent the package completely across the state accidentally (tracking said MISSENT) and then back to my area, I received the box (a day later than expected). Anyway, the coins were graded fairly, and included was a handwritten note. I thought that was a great touch. My only "complaint", and it's not really that, but I find it odd that these two halves don't have matching labels - one says "High Relief, Clad" and the other doesn't - but they're from the same set.
If you contacted them they may be willing to correct that label. In the future people will go by the label.
UPDATE: Skip said to send the 2014-D back with the next submission and they'll update the label and give me a free grading coupon.
Just awesome. But I'd honestly expect that from ICG. They could teach the other three a thing or three about customer service, without a doubt.
The third being ANACS? I've had good experience with their customer service. The head guy even called me to confirm that I wanted conservation on a specific coin and discussed what the possible outcomes would be. I'd consider ICG in the future though.
I agree. Or at least you can't lump them in with the other two. One correlation I think I've found. The higher the marketing and telling us customers how superior they are, the lower the customer service.
I just saw that the ICG Team sent out the Tracking via FedEx. I wanted to ask when the grades are revealed? Is it automatic? Sent after business hours? I too, also tried ICG for the first time! Thank you!
...and update. Got my most recent submission back and it includes the updated label on the half. And guess what? They've changed their labels. So now the text matches, but the label design doesn't. Wah-wah.
Regardless, you've received extraordinary service, as I've never seen dealing with TPG, since their origination (e.g. Accugrade). Many Kudos to "Skip" and his "team"! JMHO
Yes I agree that the service has been extraordinary, turnaround times unreal, and price can't be beat.
