Back when I was 10 or 11, I started off in the hobby building an Icelandic coins of the 20th century set. I quickly lost interest in collecting and my father held onto the coins. Since getting back into the hobby some 25 years later, I was asking about those Icelandic coins and if he knew where they had gone. On Christmas, I was given my collection. It was probably the best gift I have been given in quite some time.

I am now going to spend my energy to complete the set concentrating on the 1922 to 1942 coins first. Anyone else collecting Icelandic coins?

I'm not going out of my way to collect them, but I did get a bunch of Icelandic coins in a bulk world lot that I got for Christmas. Most of them are modern issues, though. Eventually, I'd like to work backwards and complete the set, though.

i also think i have a few modern coins from Iceland, maybe a note or two. But i wont be concentrating on collecting the entire set... not any time soon anyway.

can you post pictures of some of the coins?
