This fun little coin grabbed my attention. It was part of a seller that regularly metal detects in Spain: Head of Apollo (?) to right // Prow with ROMA below. 1.84 g, 16 mm. The second one is more typical: 3.99g, 18 mm. Early second century BC. Diademed male head right, monogram before / Bull standing right, L(crescent) above, Iberian legend below. Could someone point me towards the right ID of the first one?
I think you need the Villaronga catalog for that: Villaronga, L. & J. Benages. Ancient Coinage of the Iberian Peninsula.
The Spanish imitation semisses are cool... I've estimated 50-10 BCE for mine: That's definitely Saturn on the obverse rather than Apollo.
