yesterday my grandmas friend that i take shopping said i could have her jar of pennies because she knows i like coins. Well there were some dime in there too, and one of them happened to be a 1911-s Barber dime:bigeyes:, i was very surprised/happy to see that. And today i checked a coins machine and there was a 1956-d silver rosie. The dime has the black stuff on it, what is a good way to get it off?

You can try a little acetone but remember. You heard this from a guy who doesn't clean his coins....:smile

I would do whatever you want. It is about a $2 coin. But a nice find

    Always follow the polarity ladder:

    1) water
    2) acetone
    3) xylene
