I like Lindsey Davis and the Falco novels. Didius Falco is an informer working for the emperor and is usually dragged into various adventures. They are a good light read. I put the author's name into amazon to find a book to read. To my amazement, there is a new one with one of my favourite coins on the cover. I think @stevex6 might have one of these.

Yes, that is the one. The reverse makes for a brilliant jigsaw! I don't know why this coin gets to me. Perhaps it is the depiction of Romans doing what they did in real life.

Lindsay Davis can be a fun read, although her use of modern English slang at times breaks the mood.

Thanks for the book referral @Pishpash...I always enjoy some light reading at bedtime...and I'm still finishing two others I borrowed from my local library....

I don't have the coin or the book. I put them on my wish list.
I have one voting coin, but have not been willing to bid high enough to obtain this one to have a second.

Speaking of books, I just read Cataclysm 90 BC about the Social Wars between Rome and its Italian neighbors. I really enjoyed it. Not too scholarly but still informative, which is my speed.
