http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180507230082&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT I'm normally not one for spur of the moment bids but for some reason I went after this one. If I don't like the coins I can fortunately send them back for a full refund. I'll be sure to post some pictures when they arrive.
IDK, the two peace dollars ar about $120 together in those conditions. Looks like you may have made out okay with it. Let us know what they all look like in hand, they may look better than the pics.
Yes, the return policy is a good bail out! I never bid on things that have "No Returns" specified. Thats a cool lot though. When you get it, watch out for signs of cleaning on some of the silver coins.
take a look at them You got an amazingly low price for the grades stated. Looking at the Peace dollar pictures, I don't believe they're BU and may have been cleaned. But still, that's a 1921 and that's $200 in AU. You'll just have to look at what you get and make a decision then. Then you can leave some feedback on the experience and help others. It's hard to tell from those pictures, so just chill out and get them in hand. Steve
To me the coins look okay but I'm a novice. However, when I look at auctions, I take whatever the seller says with a grain of salt. Who knows, Inga and Olga may be Frank and Harry, a couple of dealers unloading some slow moving stock. Whatever story works to make the sale. With their return policy, you should be okay if the coins aren't what you expect them to be. Good luck!
Zach, See how you like the coins in hand. I am sure Inga and Olga and Natasha from Chicago will let you return them if you are not satisfied. TC
Hey, it ain't my sale! Any way, not uncs, and the others are overgraded, but for the amount, not a tragedy.
Better pictures of that 21 are definitely needed.... I'm not sure if it's not just a crappy picture... or if something else is going on...
Hopefully the coins are mailed out tomorrow if that's the case I'll receive them by Saturday. Scanned coins are a shot in the dark regardless I don't think you can even make an accurate assumption of grades.
Isn't the 21 supposed to be high relief? That should make it rather easy to tell though I haven't seen legitimate 21's to see how different they are.
The 21 looks fishy. Even in low grades when you scan ebay list views the 21s jump out. This one seems like a common low reliefe as stated. But with scans I guess you never know for sure.
If you zoom in on that 21 you can see something fishy may be going on there. If it turns out to be legit though that coin alone might make the auction worth it. My gut feeling though is that its a 1924
