I think I found a 1946 Henning nickle

Was looking through some nickles I had set aside from circulation and came across this one. I remembered A couple of the dates that were known to be Hennings with a 46 being one of them. So I looked at the R and was surprised to see it had a loop in it. I weighed it but my scale is not the most accurate. It said 5.2 once and 5.1 another time. So I would just like some opinions on whether you guys think it is a Henning nickle. Thanks!

I looked up henning nickel and it says it is the 1944 no P..... because he used an obverse die from 1944 which should have had the large P on the reverse, but a reverse from a non-war year.

Feel stupid.... am looking more and henning did other years too.

  4. The Henning Nickel weighs in at 5.4 grams, plus the "R" looks genuine, just worn. Let's wait for more opinions, though

That isn't the same loop in the R that is seen on most of the Henning 1944's
