I should know

    I should know what this is but I'm stumped. It weighs 3.1 grams and has heavy lamination peel at the inside rim. I've considered corrosion but it isn't pitted as I would expect. Thanks in advance for opinions.

    Looks like a dryer penny to me.

    I was just looking at a similar dime...They called that one a struck through grease error.

    Not with this particular penny. The damage displayed is classic "dryer" penny. A filled grease would not produce results of the above shown coin, not at that level.
