I found this in a bag of 5,000. I am fairly certain its man made post mint, but thought it might be fun to share... Also pulled this from the same bag... and found this in a dealers junk box, showed him what it was, and he gave it to me for $5... its a v-nicle on a 2 cent planchet. Thanks for looking and helping me with them...
The first is one half of a magician's two-tailed coin. The second may be a genuine chain strike, a great find. Even though the second strike is mirror, that is because a coin was in the way. The third is a hammer job, a coin placed over another and hammered or pressed somehow.
very cool. thats what i thought they were. the hammered 2cent looks cool in hand, but fishy. the magic penny is also cool, but clearly post mint. and the multisrtuck cent is very cool. i have a few others like it pulled from bags. One of my fav finds. thanks for the help.
The off-center cent is genuine, but heavily damaged from being crushed between several other cents. This could have happened in the mint or outside, but it doesn't matter since it's all post-strike damage.
Man, that first one is pretty neat, post mint, but still neat. Agree with Mike on the second one, and I'm not too sure about the last two. Thanks for sharing. :thumb: Phoenix
