Do you remember your first coins? I do, I remember my dad giving me a Benjamin half dollar when I was a few years old. I looked so big in my small hand. I have a vivid memory of what the face of my 1st coin looked like and remember it to this day about 30 years later.
I think i was 7 and my great aunt Mania was visiting from Poland. Before she left she gave me this coin. The first time i saw a foreign coin let alone something that wasn't in current circulation. I was amazed that they didn't use washington quarters in Poland. Since then i've been hoarding any kind of currency that looked different.
