I have only seen sketches and some photos online of the 2012 America The Beautiful silver proof quarters until today. My opinion is all of the designs are okay, but the 2 best are El Yunque and Hawaii Volcanoes (even though the Hawaii design makes it look like somebody sneezed on the coin.) The other coins (Acadia, Chaco Culture and Denali) are decent, but not great, in hand. I think the reason is El Yunque and Hawaii Volcanoes have a good balance of mirrored background and frosted devices, whereas the others are mostly frosted devices and hardly any mirrored background, which is not as appealing. I'm curious to read what others who have seen them in person think.
