I’m trying to fund a large purchase. Can anyone review my price sheet and tell me if I’m way off on what I’m asking? 90% have attractive toning although not monster neon.
Hmm. That's a lot of work to cross-reference all that. But maybe someone will be generous with their time. Also, with the exception of one coin (a 1934 Buffalo nickel), I do not see any indication of what TPG service these coins were graded by? Sounds like some nice stuff. I would simply cross-check each coin's trend value on the cert pages to make sure you're in the right ballpark. If you think the toning might be worth a premium over that amount, OK, but I'd take it easy on that if you're truly motivated to sell. I personally am not one of these folks who will pay an exponential premium (of several multiples of the trend price) for a nicely toned coin, but in some cases, if I like it enough, then yeah, maybe a few extra bucks (at most). Just use your TPG's price guides for a ballpark reference. And those who specialize in these particular series might have some useful input, if they've got the time. I see one or two things in there that would upgrade my type coins, but alas, I am cash-broke right now. (Opens wallet, looks inside, moths fly out. Ugh.)
The buffs are NGC, Morgan NGC, CWT NGC, Kennedy NGC, seated are soapboxes as are the Grant star and capped bust, proof Indian and 1915 cent. Memorial cents are PCGS I checked eBay sales and priced slightly lower to make up for the fees. The only one I couldn’t find a price for were the 1873 CC and 1880-S NGC 67+*
That (although also a lot of work) is probably a much more accurate way to price them than using the TPG trend prices anyway. Without cross-referencing anything, I’d guess you’re probably in the the right ballpark. In my cursory examination of your spreadsheet, I didn’t notice anything that looked insane to me, offhand.
