Anybody know a way to remove slight pen marks on a crisp looking bill? It's on a non-inked area of the bill

A little Clorox might help, if you don't mind having white streaks where the black marks were. :D.

Although I'm not a currency collector, I'm pretty sure they consider erasing marks on a par with scraping crud off a coin with an Xacto knife. The marks probably don't detract as much from the bill's value as the removal marks would.

You should just leave it if its not that big of a mark.

thanx for the feedback... heard a rumor at some point that cleaning and starching bills are not as frowned upon as cleaning coins... but i'll probably just leave it alone
