So there is this coin im trying to trade for and this guy says its a U.S 1890 penny head worth $250 and there is only five in the world. I cant find anything on the net about it and hes says you cant find anything on it. I just dont know plz help me is it legit is it worth what he says it is??? Thanks!!!!
You don't give us much info to work with but 1890 IHC is not a rare coin and would be worth $250 only in higher MS or Proof. In this instance I would agree with Ruben.
I traded my pedal car worth $200 for a 1950's unopened coke bottle a xf 1903 IHP and that other coin that I have no Idea what it is so im taking a chance but I guess ill find out
I have read your posted information. I think this is wrong its not a U.S 1890 penny. I have information about coins but this is also true I had never seen before like this penny. You should search about this if you have interest in it.
A pedal car? http://popular.ebay.com/toys-and-hobbies/pedal-cars.htm You should have had him toss in a bag of marbles and a sling shot.
Well I have not traded yet But I told him I was gonna do it he said his IHP is rated 8 out of 10 in condition so how much is it worth?
I think you would be better not trading and selling your pedal car. From what I have seen on Pawn Stars, if your pedal car is older and not a newer replica, you would be better selling it and then buying what you want. You would probably get more. From what others have said, Indian Head Cents that year aren't that rare but sellers will always tell you what you are going to get is rare. Maybe if it was slabbed and AU/MS maybe worth more but I bought a VF 15 IHC common date for $2.75 on Ebay. XF is not that much higher.
Have you had your pedal car checked out by a pro? What year was it made? If it is late 1800s-early 1900s tell him to sell his items and they can buy it from you after you have it appraised.
I use guides like this when bidding since it is on the low end in case the coin has got an issue. I can't believe he wants your pedal car for this. http://www.coinstudy.com/1890-indian-head-penny-value.html
The pristine example on this website went for $799 but if it isn't that one and is XF you can get them for not that much. http://www.coinstudy.com/1890-indian-head-penny-value.html
Tell the guy you changed your mind. Don't do that deal as you will have been robbed. Coins aren't rated 8/10 and it's a common date.
