I have come across a lincoln cent which is missing the first t in states on the reverse of the cent. All the oter letters apear normal and fully struck but the T is only apparent when using a loupe. The shadow of the raised surface is barely recognizable. Although the coin is is circulated condition I can detect no scratches or abrasion marks so I fairly certain this was produced from a greese or debris filled die.

I was wondering if anyone has hear of this particular error cent? If so can you direct me to a source of more information concerning the error?

Sounds like a filled die error. These are quite common.

I guess I was wondering how common and weither or not some of these filled die errors attain significant value.

I don't intend t sell, but I would like to know since I find it very cool to have a United Sates Cent. :D

My first error find was a year 200 Roosevelt dime ;)

Has cost me a bundle as it got me back into coin collecting....LOL
