I have a thing for old copper that extends not only to U.S. type coins, but also to Conder tokens. While I also have a few silver type coins, there will always be a special place for this metal in my collection. Here's a large cent - certainly a readily available coin, but it simply has a nice look about it, so why not share it with you?
my 1853 jalopy looks like this although these seller pics make the coin look more orangish than it really is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1853-3-Braided-Hair-Large-Cent-N-4-NICE-GRADE-R-3-/171018590478?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=IrRFBdidWkZchgQNeiQYHXsHzaE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_600wt_1164
