I have just seen the most beautiful coin

What is the most beautiful coin you have ever seen.
Surprisingly this isn't the most expensive that I've seen.

To me it looks like someone took a brush and painted it.

I had one of those '96 quarters once on approval. It was nice and it was a low price (as those go anyway). I took a good long time to look it over and check it out. It was XF-AU details but I found where it was holed and expertly plugged so I returned it. I look back on it with longing because, even repaired as it was, it would be worth over ten times what they wanted for it then.

 

Here is a beauty that I don't have a very good image of, it is more of a rosy pink colour and was purchased from LostDutchman quite a few years ago:

It sold for $9400 back in May.

 

I couldn't afforded it May either.

 

The 1881 traded on Heritage's site for $9400 (including the vig) last May. It's gonna take someone wanting to make a market to pay that kind of price. Not that it isn't clearly the finest of the type, and likely undervalued.
