    Howdy everyone...
While in hot pursuit of my NY collection I have encountered the 4th addition of fractional currency printed by the Note Company of NY, NY. I found this 10 cent fractional and had to have it!! I am planning to build a set of the 4th series from XF to CH CU for my son AJ in addition to the coins and NY Currency Sets.

These notes are really cool in every way! Hope you enjoy the pic...the FR# is 1259

    RickieB :) :)

RickieB, this was the first fractional I ever got... and ended up getting another (in better condition) since I liked it so much. I have a very fractional fractional collection ;) Not every one of each series. But a couple that I really like are two of the first series in GEM with the perforations (like postage stamps).

Rick, you will be pleased to know that I did buy a 5c. Fractional a few years ago.I will be offloading it on eBay some time in the next few months.

They are an interesting series. They can be regarded as the forerunner of the U.S. Postal Notes, which were issued in 1883 to 1894 & from 1945 to 1951.It was possible to send a Fractional note in the mail,as it was (& is) difficult to send coins loose in the mail.
