    Looks like a lamination error - or a general issue with the planchet

    Actually two laminations; another smaller one through the R of America, extending northeast.

    Yes agree with the above and will say this coin is at best worth a couple bucks !! mod likely around a buck unless you find someone who really wants it

    Nope. That quarter can be considered "cut" which means, it's damaged and as a result worth 25 cents.

    Nope. Presumably you're referring to the "reeding" on the edge of the coin which is applied as the coin is minted in a single hit. The "reeding" is imparted by the collar which is considered by some as the 3rd Die. Obverse/Reverse/Collar

    19Lyds, your comment suggested a question. A few foreign coins (and medals), different eras, have had what they called an engrailed edge -- how in the world did they do that?
