and 1953 also double denomination with a gold or silver coin, What coins are they.. I am asking because I cant figure it out.. also maybe a value? t hanks guys
above the date can you see the horse or dragon or whatever it is like I said. and on reverse can you not see the big 5 and star at the bottom?
I think both coins are "Rorschach" varieties. It all depends on your personality and frame of mind as to what you see.
In other words, corrosion on both coins severely degraded them and what you're "seeing" is the results of said corrosion.
The token looks like it may be a U.S. Civil War store card, but it's so corroded that I can't really tell for sure. What ever it is though it wouldn't have any value, it's just too beat up. The coin and the token look gut-shot. Bruce
Yes the token is a just a corroded Civil War Storecard. It is in no way a double denomination, nor is it dated 1883. I'm fairly sure this piece has been covered on another forum. The cent is just a corroded cent.
the corrosion is the reason its been overlooked for so many years, ?morons? just think its junk. it came from wheaty roll, yet is it a wheat penny? no . its an 1883 clothiers token struck with a gobrecht die the damn thing says 28c gobrecht, starting where pictured and wrapping along 50% of edge. i thaught id share a cool find but what i get is dumbass remarks.. coins dont have to be mintstate to have collectible value. as so called numisists you should know..
Well... one man's junk is another man's treasure. If they have "collectible" value to you, that's fine. However, they have no numismatic value. Sorry.
