What kind of an error causes a doubled rim of a coin? Two sets of Ridges. 20211212_124032.jpg 20211213_073839.jpg 20211213_073807.jpg

    A mis-aligned Obv. Die.

The Obv. die was loose, or moved during striking,
and the coins it then struck showed a mis-aligned
    obv. die strike.

That's the reeding that the die shaft picked up when
it struck the collar (reeded on the inside) edge due
    to the misalignment.

    Hope this helps....

I understand that part and yes alot of help, so that's why I'm seeing double on the reeding?

"double on the reeding" - not sure what you mean.

There is the normal edge reeding, and the reeding from
the Die shaft that made contact with the inside of the
dime collar (reeded), inside the obv. rim.

Is that what you mean ?

@Fred Weinberg is reffering to a collar clash if that helps you. https://www.error-ref.com/collar-clash/

Not as common as a chip or crack. Nice find IMHO. Not rare or very valuable but nice anyways.

As stated above, not that common, but also, not that
collectable...There are enough of them around so that
there are more of 'em than there are error collectors or
    interested folks who are.

    Interesting yes......

You liked it enough to post it. May not be popular or valuable but it's a keeper. Look closely and you can see the rim error caused Rosie to be a bit off center also, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing it. Good luck.
