Would anybody be able to tell me what these are worth? I want to sell them and I have no clue what they're valued at. They were minted in 1865 for emporer maximiliamo. Here is how they look, I should also note, they are individually lamenated in Deak-Perera cases Thank you. Nick
Howdy Nick - Welcome to the Forum !! Can you tell me what the diameter of those is ? I ask because I seem to recall reading a few years ago about these - I don't think they were struck in 1865. I'm thinking they are some sort of modern reproduction.
Thanks for the response, they're 10mm in diameter I believe. Let me know what you come up with, I'd love to find out what they're worth so that I could sell them, thanks. Nick
That's the size I was looking for - unfortunately. These are not genuine coins - and I'm can't recall if they are even gold or merely gold pated. So far I have not been able to find the reference I used to have for them. But if they are gold, they would have no value beyond bullion content.
I see them on ebay at a starting price of $9.99 and they usually don't sell. Sorry you didn't hit the jackpot! - James
I have that little coin. It referred only at KRAUSE catalog of 1991 (2 volums , hard green cover). The catalog tells about 5 types , and regard them as fantasy peso coins.
