    Hello All,

Anyway, i collect mostly silver dollars.

I just purchased 10,000 unsearched wheat pennies.
I dont know much about wheats besides 1909 s vdb.

Can someone with some wheat knowledge let me know what i and my girlfriend should all look for? :)

    Hello Choko

    10,000 ??!!!

First thing you should "look for" is a good coin microscope, aspirin and a couple extra sets of "eyes"! :D

I was fortunate once to get to look through 100 rolls of 1944D cents, what great fun that was! If varieties are what you are looking for, you will want to get some good reference books on lincoln cents like; "A Quick Reference to the Top Lincoln Cent Die Varieties" by Gary Wagnon, Karen Peterson and Kevin Flynn. Another good book is "The RPM Book, second edition: Lincoln Cents" by James Wiles, Ph.D.

You should look for a case of Visine because you will need it after looking at 10K pennies LOL!!! Seriously, get a redbook and look for the best for key/semi key dates. 1909s, 1910s, 1911s, 1912s, 1913s, 1914d, 1915s, 1922p, 1923s, 1924d, 1926s, 1931s etc etc. Basically the low mintage ones.

    Welcome aboard Choko.

I assume you realize that your coins have probably been searched manyl times, despite the seller's claim of "unsearched". He/she may not have personally done any searching, but it is extremely unlikely that such a large batch of coins have survived 47-96 years without being scrutinized many times.

i got them from my dads friend who owns the bank in town, said they been in the bag sense 1960 as per the seal sales on the bag.
    I got them for 2cents a peice. :)

Yeah, i bought coins from people on ebay before.. they are always searched..

    1960??

Look for some 55 double dies, also.

[IMG] That kind of very unusual situation is why I said "probably".
