Yesterday, I got some really cool coins from a gentleman in his 80's. He started collecting in the 1960's and stopped collecting in the late 1990's. So, Yesterday he gave me some coins including:
    Estimated value: around $200.00
    _______________
    1927 Standing Liberty Quarter
    1931 Wheat penny
    1928 Wheat penny
    UNC 1941 Wheat penny
    and a LOT more!

    Nice!

I hope you spent some time talking with him about the coins. That would probably have made his day... or year!

Cool. Older coin collectors are usually a generous bunch. Especially if they have no children or the kids don't care about coins etc. How are you coming to a $200 value though?

Nice score! Why do you think they are worth $200 though?

My brother has a Red Book and he has been looking at all of the coins and guessing that all together it MIGHT be around $200.00 value

What grades are you giving them? I don't see anything that would make it around $200 unless you haven't posted the whole lot yet and there are some better dates

So what value would you put the UNC 1941 penny, the 1955 UNC quarter, & the 1927 quarter and the 1929 S penny for the value?

I'm not sure where he got the values from, for the US coins he got them from the Red Book and for some of the Russian coins he looked it up on Google.
One of the Russian coins he said is worth around $30.00

Not worth much. Most pennies, unless they're key dates, are only worth a couple cents each

I'd say $10. Everything else is worth a couple cents each. Maybe $15-20 total. Most of it would be tough to sell.
