Here are the 1965 50c and the 1968-S 50c. The 1965 has a Cam-UCam obverse and a brilliant reverse, which is why NGC gave it a star.

To tell you the truth....I've been buying more of my coins already in slabs so I haven't had much need to send them off.

Looks like you got a little better on all the coins than what you anticipated.
I just sent in my first coin ever to get slabbed and it was to NGC. It was a 1909-S VDB. It should grade between F-15 and VF-20.
