i found weird coin when i bought some gums from the corner store. its sacawaje(dont know how to spell it) dollar but on the other side its quarter! any info? how much is it worth?
Apparently, 10 are known. lol...worth at least $29,900.00 http://www.coinfacts.com/error_coins/mules/washington_sacajawea_mule.htm
if the coin is a genuine mule - and it may be - you need to get it certified. The last sale for one of these coins was for over $80,000.00
You might want to post pictures and an inquiry on the Error World forum of this site. Most of the major error coin dealers are members of Error World. Good luck
Many fakes are now on the market. Several companies make these mules in the same fashion as two headed coins. My suggestion is look for cut lines on the edge, and if known are found, drop the coin on a table. If it rings true, send it to NGC.
out of all of the new errors surfacing from the last few years, the sac-quarter mull is one of the most famous however, i have looked online to see if any places sell fake ones, and I hit the jackpot of those i found fake ones on sale for about 4 bucks a pop hopefully yours is for real some of the good 3pgs (third person grading services) are: PCGS, ICGS, NCG, ANACS, CONECA will work as well One Minute Coin Expert (by Scott Travers) has further information on Mules
