I finally found the most honest seller on Ebay. --LOL-- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4182&item=3954120088&rd=1
Oh man thanks for posting that! I about fell out of my chair laughing. The guy's candor is refreshing. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can complain about any deception on that auction. LOL.
When I first started collecting I was about 12 years old, which means I had almost no income to speak of. At the price this coin is at as I type this ($4.26), I would have been thrilled to have it. A half cent was something I never saw in my pocket change, and thus it was exotic. To have one in my collection would have thrilled me. I still have a few low value coins I bought back then because I enjoy remembering how they made feel.
Well susanlynn, as our resident ebay Robin Hood, I'd say that there is nothing for you to worry about here...LOL.
Very admirable. And he will probably get a lot more money for it, too. Honesty does pay for itself over and over. I told you guys there were some honest sellers on eBay!
I dunno, I need one of those for my type set album. I'm almost tempted to give him five bucks for it! (Almost...) Rachel
I'd wager that he was trying to buy a newspaper that day. I know that All the NY Times in my town were gone early. eBay was busy all week long pulling off auctions for WTC/NY Times memorabilia.
