I found in a roll of nickels and not sure what error this could be?

    It's a Dryer Coin. Damaged after it left the US Mint.

    Keep in mind.. If a coin looks strange, weird or different it does not automatically make it a mint error. There are numerous ways coins become damaged/altered post mint.

    Reread the post above by Paddyman78. The ratio of mint errors ( worth something other than face) is about 1/1,000 out of change or rolls. IMO, Jim
