I found (and sadly lost) a 1939 (Medium condition) S Wheat Penny.

I would post a picture, but i lost it. I set it on a table and when i came back it was gone, but hey, its still interesting to find the value.

It had a dull tan color to it if that means anything. The reason i say its in "Medium" condition is because the "L" in Liberty was worn down quite a bit and the AM of America was worn down also. But what was also interesting was that the AM in America was wsa a little larger then all the other letters, like it was stretched.

I hope i find it again!

Sounds like die deterioration to me... Common date cent, too, I'm sure you'll find many, many more.

I dumped about 15 of those the other day at my local bank, they're pretty common.

That's really good of you gmaster456. I don't know if you did it so somebody could find one in circulation or not but thats how I got started collect last year I found a silver dime in circulation. Since that silver Rosey I've spent alot on more.
