I was sitting here, listenin to some music, and from time to time when I have nothing else to do, I just look at my coins. Well...Everytime my parents or sister gets some change I make them give it to me, and I go through it. And I have several Whitman Coin Folders that I put them in. Tonight, after about a year of scrounging around, I finally finished 2 of them!! I finished a book of Roosevelt Dimes, Starting 1965 and goes up to 2002. It includes both P and D mints. A total of 73 coins. The other book was a book of Washington Quarters, running 1965 through 1987. It also includes both P and D mints. It has a total of 41 coins. I also have another Washington Quarter book, running 1988 through 2000. I have it all filled up but for 2 stubborn Denver mints. All I need to complete this book is a 1999 Connecticut D and a 2000 Virgina D. It has a total of 43 coins, and I have 41 of the 43.
Get'er done CoinJoe, Start on the silver Roosevelts next most can be obtained in great condition at coin shops in the bulk or melt silver bins, at melt price. Best collecting to you!
I already have the book Sadly enough I got it the same time I got the other two that I just completed And I only have 8 Silver Roosies, in a book spanning from 1946-1964. I don't come across much silver. I guess I have to work with my dad to get money to buy more money
CoinJoe, no kidding that coke you drink at Sonic or the local conveince store will buy a lot of the nice silver Roosevelts you need. Heck that cola is over a buck and most of the dimes you need won't cost you .75 cents. Like I said Get'er done....................................LOL isnt this fun. Best to you.........................Bluesmanmoney
Yeah, Blue Collar TV!!! w0oT! Its a soutern thang! Lol! Anyways, most of the time, the problem isn't being able to afford it, its getting my mom or dad to actually take me
Coin Joe: Living in Colorado, the only Statehood quarters I get are Denver Mint. If you would care to e-mail me (papagoose07@hotmail.com), I would be glad to send you the two quarters you need.
Congratulations on your accomplishments Joe! Sounds like the third one is not long until completion as well. What set(s) are you going to concentrate on next?
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I got somebody sending me some already, and what they don't send me, I'll see if I can get from you. I dont really concentrate on any single set. Though, extra attention goes towards the State Quarters, because they keep chaning.
Well, the state quarters are a great set full of symbols to inspire a little research and learning. That's one of the reasons I enjoy exonumia so much.
