for some reason I looked through the Morgan Dollar tray at the coin shop today and ended up buying these. What do you think.
Looks like some nice RPM Errors and a "O" over "S" Mintmark! I am not sure about the second picture! The "S" Mintmark would have to be exmained alittle more closely and in person. I would bet that you got a deal on the coins and that the Dealer had no idea they were error coins! I visit a few Coin Shops where the folks don't have time to look through some of their' coins and due to poor eyesight, they would have a difficult time seeing some of the errors that I find when I visit. What years do you have? I'm asking because I can tell you the price.There probably worth more than face value because they have those kinds of errors. One more thing.How do you get those close pictures?
The years are 1878-s, 1881-2, 1882-o, 1882-o, 1883-cc - if I remeber correctly. The pictures were taken with a QX3 @ 60x power.
Prices-78s=$22, 1881 with a 2?, 82o=$16, 82-o over s=$22, 83-cc=$100.Lucky. Oh! Almost forgot,all of them have to be VF-20 to be those prices. It doesn't list the doubled dies in my Red Book so they will definitely be worth more than the prices I just listed. B12
