Well Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions . Although I said I'm not a collector I think I'm going to start lol . I have enjoyed researching this coin so much I think I will send it of to be slabbed (think that's what its called), graded . I decided to keep it From what I read at different forums and on some of the different websites it is quite rare . You think I should send a US Olympic coin set I have with this one, 2 are proofs and 2 uncirculated . I'm now digging out all the coins I've stuck back in jewelry boxes and in jars that were old and unusual and starting to see what else I can find, guess I am a collector now lol. My Kids have been so excited (me too) so I'm going to let them start there on state quarter and nickel Collection , what a great way to get them to learn! Thanks again and I'm sure I'll be back for advice again great to have a place like this to come to ,get honest sincere advice. lynn
Lynn Sounds like you have the Coin Bug---sorry but there is no hope! I would suggest buying a few books to read----the ANA Grading Guide and maybe Photograde too. Then you might want to pick some up on Errors or such.... Let us know how the coin comes back when you send it off!!! Speedy
i went to books a million today lol Went to books a million today picked up some books mainly for the kids  on the quarters with a promise to get the set for the nickels this weekend. I also signed up for an account at the US mint LOL and got on there mailing list....
Lynn welcome to Coins Anonymous unfortunatly there is no known cure so all you can now do is call in here for regular sessions of therapy  LOL De Orc :kewl:
Lynn, you could buy the Krause catalogues here; www.amazon.com . Once you catch the coin-collecting bug, you get hooked for life.I know I did since I was 9.I am nearly 30,still collecting coins. Aidan.
