It's been hit with the dreaded counterfeit detector pen.

I've found counterfeit pens (or at least the one at my work) fade within 48-72 hours (sometimes a while longer when kept in a case). There was another mark on it today that had faded quite a bit that I can no longer see. I'll post another pic in a few days and we'll see if it's gone away.

That's quite a rare find! Tell us, where exactly did you come across it?

Unfortunately it's not worth all that much over face value - despite having just 480,000 printed. Based on past auctions, it can fetch between $130 and $160 in this condition.

In other words, the collector shop will offer you $80-$95 for your $100 bill.

I think $160 is to generous. $125 IMO

I would pay you only$110. If it didn't have the counterfeit pen mark.
