    Hallo, my friends! I came back from my European journey yesterday. During the last week I visited such a countries as Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. And I got a several nice coins! I want to share it with you, my friends!

    Ah yes, I posted my first comment too early - you did get some others. :) As for the coin from Schleswig-Holstein, that was issued during a conflict between Denmark on one side, and Holstein and Schleswig (supported by Prussia and a few other countries) on the other side. Ended with the continuation of the pre-war status quo. A few years later the two parties were at war again.

    As for the coin from Chile, it is interesting that they already used the hammer and sickle (see here). Still don't know the reason, or rather the motivation, though ...

    The bird is the Andean Condor.

    It's always fun reading your posts. It's refreshing to see all of the foreign coins you show us because a vast majority of the posts I read are about American coins.
